Take a look at our new scientific publication: “Enhancing wall-to-wall forest structure mapping through detailed co-registration of airborne and terrestrial laser scanning data in Mediterranean forests”.
Among the authors our CTO Andrea Masini and the OPENSIGHT‘ Software designer Andrea Bracci.
Highlights
- • A new co-registration procedure of terrestrial and airborne laser scanning point clouds has been presented
- • Terrestrial and airborne laser scanning data were combined to characterize forest stand structures
- • A plot level Enhanced Structural Spatial Index was derived to assess the three-dimensional structure of the forest stands
- • The obtained forest structural features have been correlated with airborne laser scanning metrics to perform a spatial prediction map of the study area.
