The latest integration between OPENSIGHT and LIFESEEKER, combined with the cutting-edge technology of DJI drones, marks a significant leap forward in the realm of search and rescue missions.
OPENSIGHT and LIFESEEKER Integration: A Game-Changer
The collaboration between OPENSIGHT and LIFESEEKER will be showcased at EUROPEAN ROTORS 2023 and introduces a integration aimed at maximizing the efficiency and capabilities of DJI drones. The OPENSIGHT Software Development Kit (SDK) seamlessly integrates with DJI drones, elevating them into STANAG-Compliant sensors with state-of-the-art capabilities.
The OPENSIGHT-mission console (mc), housed within a tablet ground control station, incorporates moving maps and augmented reality functionalities. This interface provides operators with real-time information, overlaying multiple synthetic layers onto live video feeds. The result is an unparalleled situational awareness that enhances the effectiveness of search and rescue missions.
Lifeseeker: Enhancing Geolocation Performance
Lifeseeker, the airborne phone location system developed by CENTUM, plays a crucial role in enhancing geolocation performance during SAR operations. Even in challenging low or no visibility conditions, Lifeseeker compatibility significantly improves the accuracy and reliability of location data.
The collected information from Lifeseeker is transmitted in real-time to the OPENSIGHT engine, creating an optimal situational awareness for operators. This enhancement accelerates and maximizes the efficiency of recovery operations, setting a new standard in search and rescue capabilities.
